There are certain criteria that we should check before get connected with a blog. Following are the points to remember :-
1) cached snapshot of page :- blog should be cached by google with in last 7 days.
2) According to discussion put your comment. Don’t write anything randomly else administrator of blog will delete your link with in a week or so. Always try for permanent link building.
3) If blog has “No Follow” then also you can put your comment provided page must have a PR(Page rank) and people comments.
4) Rotate your keywords to get good results
5) Do Follow Blogs – Nothing good den do follow for link building. MOST IMPORTANT

NO Follow:- Generate only Traffic. NO PR
Do Follow:- Generate SEPR, Visitors, Traffic
